Dinosaurs

The reason I chose this image is partly because I really like the simplistic stylised way of illustration and partly because I find dinosaurs very interesting. I find it amazing that such creatures actually existed, they almost seem like something you would dream up rather than something that could really exist.

Moths

I am attracted to moths because I find them to be more beautiful than butterflies. Although people think they are night creatures this is not true, there are more moths around in the day than butterflies. I find them very interesting because they're so precious and whilst being so intricate and individual they are also very delicate.

David Lynch

I watched Twin Peaks by David Lynch with my Dad a few years ago. I refound my liking of David Lynch's films when I watched The Short Films of David Lynch over the summer. I particularly enjoyed it because they are a collection of films he made whilst being a student and I found that very inspiring because it is a body of work you would expect from a professional not a university student.

Stacey Rozich

I find the work of Stacey Rozich particularly relevant to myself because although it is in a very different style to my work, she uses very similar subjects to the ones I use. It is nice to be able to see similarities between my work and that of a professional illustrator even if the styles are very different.
